 | We are a 501c3 charity that
survives solely on your vehicle donations. We provide 18 month paid
apprenticeships, that include job and computer training to youth in recovery
and other disadvantaged individuals. Our program has been so successful,
that the entire organization is currently run completely by graduates of our
apprenticeship program. All of our employees are either apprentices, or are
now mentors who use their valuable skills learned through our program. Every
department at Center for Living and Learning is managed by a graduate,
including our computer courseroom. We are very proud of our success! |

Center for Living and Learning recently began providing job search
preparation assistance to individuals with barriers to employment, who are
transitioning into independent living. Since we are not able to
provide our paid apprenticeship program to all who apply, we are now
assisting those individuals in obtaining other employment. Even though
we are just beginning this newest charitable program, we are well on our way
to providing assistance to a target of 100 hundred clients the first year of
operation.

 | We also help other charities in need. When the tsunami occurred, we
helped Doctors Without Borders. When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast,
we responded immediately with large cash contributions to American Red Cross
for immediate aid, Habitat For Humanity for rebuilding efforts in the areas
hit, and SPCA LA for their work in rescuing animals trapped in the disaster
areas. |
